Street Cheer Classes - Skegness Lincolnshire

Street Cheer is a brand new element of Cheerleading. A unique fusion of Street Dance and Cheerleading moves. This class will teach the children the funkiest, most up to date dance moves, combined with Cheerleading Chants and Cheers. Ultimately it brings a fresh and interesting twist to both the Street Dance style and to traditional Cheerleading.

The moves used in Street Cheer originate from Hip Hop and Street Dance styles and the music is always set to the current trend so children can identify with it. Street Cheer allows the group to express their own style of dance and movement and allows them to be creative and expressive helping them to build confidence and self esteem.

Street Cheer gives the children a great sense of achievement and allows the group to bond and build great team spirit. Street Cheer can be used with or without poms and is hugely popular with girls and boys alike.

Fitness, Play and Games
Suitable from Early Years, Reception and up to Keystage 2

Fitness Play and GamesThis class is packed full of fun, it has a different theme each week, keeping each theme relevant to the age of the group. It takes the children through a journey of activities and games, all with the emphasis of team playing. It includes a warm up and pre-stretch where the children learn more about the muscles in their body and then we use games and activities using all different types of equipment which allows the children to improve their cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, balance, co-ordination, agility and concentration skills.

We also try to add in some quick thinking skills depending on the age of the group along with number games to help improve their learning skills through play.

We then have a section where we cool and calm down and then come together as a group on the floor in our “circle time” where we talk together as a group and have some quiet games looking at food and nutrition hopefully helping to educate the children about healthy eating.

Pure Pilates For Teens
Suitable for Keystages 3 – 4

Pilates for Teens

Children on a whole spend a lot more time sitting down, during class time as well at home in front of the T.V or playing computer games and therefore a lot of their muscles will already be very in-flexible and stiff, resulting in poor posture and possible back, and neck problems at an early age, therefore the Pilates technique is a great way of educating the children to become more body aware.

This class is set at a very relaxed pace to calm and relaxing music. The Pilates technique offers a unique method of body control and conditioning, it stretches, strengthens and lengthens the muscles, while improving flexibility and balance. It teaches the children to focus their mind as they exercise the body, improving body awareness and helping to reduce the risk of injury or strain in every day activities or sports and it is a great way to relieve stress and tension.

This class will take the group through a wide range of standing and floor based movements and will help improve flexibility, balance, agility, strength and overall body awareness.
